Lucy Valentine

So you want to learn a little bit more about Lucy Valentine? Well, to start, she is a true Hufflepuff and a Libra to the core. Lucy is a 10 year old girl with parents that support her dreams. She grew up obsessed with the theater; at four years old, she was introduced to Phantom of the Opera, and has been in love with music ever since. Before she was even out of pre-k, she saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, and was able to go backstage and meet the actors and stage crew. She knew then that she wanted to be part of that world and would sing wherever she would go.

Lucy found that she has many interests and enjoys them all. When she was still in preschool, she wanted to learn how to do Irish step dancing. One day her mother got her into classes, and she loved it! She even performed in front of 200 people at her school's talent show when she was in kindergarten. She loved seeing the crowd, and she didn't skip a beat on stage. She performed with her dance school many times over the years at various festivals and parades.

Lucy next love was karate and she still practices to this day. She might not be the best at it, but she tries her hardest and never gets discouraged. She has been doing karate for 5 years! She has helped the younger students by being an assistant and she is always learning what it is to be a kind karate kid.

When Lucy was 7, nearing 8, her mother and father realized that she just never stopped singing. She sang at dance, at karate, in the bathroom, the car, during dinner, and even at bed time when she was supposed to be sleeping. So her parents signed her up for music lessons. She was performing on stage at some of the biggest venues! After about a year, her music school asked her to be part of a band. She has performed at The Bitter End, The House of Independence, The Stone Pony, as well as local bars. When she is on stage, she has said that she feels alive; the louder the crowd is, the more energy she gives back to them!

Lucy had wanted to take acting classes for a long time as well, an her parents searched for a while. By chance, her mom found a post online about an improv workshop at the local mall. She quickly signed Lucy up and the class was a huge success. She took the summer camp program for both improv and acting, and she just couldn't be kept away. After squeezing these lessons into her schedule, she is now a proud student at NextGen Acting.

As for the rest of her life, she is a giant nerd. She loves to play video games. Her nickname is Goose the Gamer. She loves to watch other gamer girls on Youtube; she has said that they inspire her. She is also a bit of a foodie, and will always try something at least once; She has been trying to find good chocolate covered crickets to try! She loves her pets to the moon and back and currently has two cats, but has had a gecko and fish in the past. She loves all living things and wants to have a snake or a tarantula someday soon! When the weather gets nice, she likes to spend her days outside at the pool, swimming and spending time with family and friends.

Lucy is homeschooled, which some people might find weird, but it gives her the freedom to study in a way that works for her, while getting to choose many topics that she wants to learn about. She goes on many field trips, spends a lot of time with friends, and interacts with people from all ages and walks a life regularly. She gets to put extra time into her music as well.
